There's a lot of Victorians in Queensland at this time of the year.  And why not, it's very cold down south at this time of year.  Besides it is so cheap to holiday in Queensland in Winter you would have to be mad not to take advantage of it.  The crowds are less, the temperatures are higher and the prices are discounted - what more could you want?

Brisbane
The capital of Queensland with a population rapidly approaching 2 million. The third largest city in Australia with magnificent waterfront views and a very exciting nightlife scene, loads of restaurants and a climate of sun and fun.
Broadbeach
Broadbeach is located on the Gold Coast in Queensland.  Broadbeach is central to the Gold Coast so it offers an ideal location to base your holiday  and is obviously a swimmer's paradise and offers two patrolled areas for safe swimming. Broadbeach is just across the road from Conrad Jupiters Casino and Pacific Fair so there is plenty of entertainment.
Bundaberg
Bundaberg is around 20 kms from the coast  on the edge of the Burnett River.  Bundaberg has a sub-tropical climate and a population of arond 50,000 people.  Bundaberg City offers beautiful heritage buildings combined with modern architecture, and includes famous names such as the Bundaberg Rum Distillery .
Cairns
A fantastic starting point to visit the Great Barrier Reef or the Daintree Forest if you can drag yourself away from the delights of the city itself. Cairns offers all the trappings of a resort town. Cruise Ships don't stop at Cairns for nothing.
Coolangatta
The most southerly coastal town in Queensland being the gateway to the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales. It is only 100 kms south of Brisbane and borders its twin town of Tweed Heads.
Hervey Bay
Hervey Bay is around three and a half hours from Queensland's capital or less than hour by plane.  Hervey Bay attractions include the Great Sandy Strait, World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the Bay and the wetlands. Hervey Bay is the whale watching capital of the world.
Ipswich
Ipswich is only a little over a half hour drive from Queensland's capital and around an hour from the Gold Coast located in the south east region.  Ipswich is a large rural city with over 145, 000 people covering an area of more than 1200 sq kms.  Ipswich is Queensland's oldest provincial city and has the architecture and culture that develops from a rich history.
Port Douglas
A luxury resort town. This is the place to go for the best of everything. With a restaurant President Clinton had to try, markets trips to the Daintree and cruises to the Great Barrier Reef you will come back again and again.
Surfers Paradise
Central to Queenslands Gold Coast. A mecca for both surfers and beach lovers alike. Surfers represents a beach lifestyle that all Austalians can identify with.
